Statia Plantation Piano Vacation
for All Artists

After visiting Saint Eustatius from 1988 on, our family decided this was a place for us.  Statia Plantation was built in 1990 as a retreat for artists from all over the world. We wanted a sanctuary for our family as well as others - a place where one could go with no interruptions from hoards of people or traffic. A place to think and renew yourself within a natural setting. We wanted to play the piano, listen to music, create music, do photography, study nature and maybe write a book. Others who have visited have been writers, composers, and photographers. The view alone is staggering and the sun shines nearly every day. Peace and quiet in the world is hard to find, but now Statia Plantation has succeeded in its goal as a retreat and is a dream come true.
